INTEGRATED TOURISM AS A TOOL FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

On the eve of the ongoing Tourism Indaba in Durban, the Minister for Tourism of South Africa hosted an African Ministers Tourism session, to discuss INTEGRATED TOURISM AS A TOOL FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. The discussions emphasized the need for increased commitment from all African countries in implementing their bilateral and multilateral Tourism agreements. This, they noted, will lead to the development of basic infrastructure and regulatory frameworks which will facilitate tourism in the region and the continent as a whole. In attendance were Tourism Ministers from Angola, The kingdom of Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Uganda,Zambia and Zimbabwe.
